How To Fit A Walker
When fitting a walker, make sure you are wearing the shoes that you will be wearing when using the walker. Place the walker in front of your body and step partially inside. Stand straight with your feet shouders-width apart, looking ahead with your arms hanging relaxed at your sides. Adjust the walker so that the handgrips are even with the hip joint. When holding the handgrips, the elbows should be bent at approximately a 20-30 degree angle (see illustration).
